Our physiotherapists are members of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy(CSP), and are also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council Our staff has further specialised qualifications in acupuncture and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS).
Yes. Chartered Physiotherapists are autonomous and can act as first contact practitioners. You can seek direct care without referral from your GP or another health care professional.
The first appointment at the clinic lasts for approximately 40 minutes, which includes assessment and treatment. The follow-up sessions last for 30 minutes.
Yes, we offer both physiotherapy and acupuncture services on home visits.
The first appointment at home, care home, or specialist unit lasts for approximately 60-70 minutes, which includes assessment and treatment. The follow-up sessions last for 50-60 minutes.
Medical Acupuncture
Medical Acupuncture is a form of therapy involving the insertion of fine needles; it is an adaption of Chinese acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology and the principles of evidence based medicine.
It is eminently suitable to treat all painful conditions (neck, back, shoulder, migraines and knee pain etc), anxiety,poor sleep, menopausal symptoms, stress and urge incontinence, cancer pain. cancer treatment related side effects such as hot flushes and sweating, nausea and vomiting, radiation induced dry mouth, chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy and improve overall quality of life.
