Recover Faster, Move Safer, and Return to Life with Confidence
The success of your surgery depends heavily on what happens next. Whether you’ve had a joint replacement, spinal procedure, or soft tissue repair, our experienced Chartered Physiotherapists design personalised recovery programs to bridge the gap between hospital discharge and returning to your daily routine.
Why Post-Operative Physiotherapy Matters
Surgery can be physically and mentally challenging. Even successful operations often lead to stiffness, weakness, swelling and reduced function if not supported by structured rehabilitation.
Post-operative physiotherapy helps by:
- Promoting healing and tissue recovery
- Reducing pain and swelling
- Restoring joint mobility
- Rebuilding muscle strength and endurance
- Improving balance and functional independence
Why Start Physio Immediately After Surgery?
Many patients are hesitant to move after surgery, but early, guided intervention is critical. Our post-op programs focus on:
-
1. Pain & Swelling Management: Using gentle manual therapy and circulation exercises to reduce post-surgical discomfort.
2. Storing Range of Motion: Safely regaining flexibility before scar tissue limits your movement.
3. Muscle Reactivation: Waking up muscles that "switch off" after trauma or anaesthesia.
4. Functional Independence: Training you to walk, climb stairs, and perform daily tasks with confidence.
